International students are required to live in an approved program residence. Choosing where to live while studying for your degree is important – and indicating your accommodations preferences early is a required step in the enrollment process.
Please note that while housing is guaranteed, we cannot promise we will be able to match each student with their preferred housing option.
Summer 2024 Students
On-campus students — will receive $400 for use during the summer as well as a traditional meal plan for the second half of the summer term.
Fall 2024 Students
Students assigned to Premium Campus Adjacent Housing will not be billed for a meal plan. Students can purchase a meal plan through this website before arrival or on arrival to campus: https://dineoncampus.com/fiu
Please note that Your selections are preferences, not a final housing selection.
There is currently a wait-list for on-campus housing. Students should proceed with completing the preference form. There is no separate wait-list form to complete.

Students aged 17 years old by April 15, 2024, if assigned to on-campus housing (if available), will be assigned to Standard Housing.
Students aged 16 years old by April 15, 2024, if assigned on-campus housing (if available), will be assigned to Essential Housing.
Fall 2024:
Students aged 17 years old by August 15, 2024, if assigned to on-campus housing (if available). will be assigned to Standard Housing.
Students aged 16 years old by August 15, 2024, if assigned on-campus housing (if available). will be assigned to Essential Housing.
Spring 2025:
Students aged 17 years old by December 15, 2024, if assigned to on-campus housing (if available), will be assigned to Standard Housing in the fall semester.
