Please provide your arrival details at least 15 days in advance to the program start date. We need to know when you are arriving so we can confirm your housing and enrollment. Also, we offer free rides from the airport to campus, and you can confirm an airport transfer service with this form. Airport transport is available from Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport.
All students are required to submit arrival details before they depart for the Global First Year.

Summer 2026 Arrival / Transport Service Information
Transport Policies
Lyft Pass and Transport Support Phone Line become available on April 30, 2026. If arriving prior to April 30, transport is the student’s responsibility.
Arrivals between April 30 and May 6:
Support Phone Line hours: 9:00 AM–8:00PM
Lyft Pass is available 24 hours.
Arrivals on May 7, 2026 (Check-In Date):
Lyft Pass is available 24 hours.
Transportation Support Line is available 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.
If the Lyft Pass does not work, contact the Transportation Support Line within its hours of operation.
Taxis are readily available at Miami International Airport.

Students must arrange and pay for their own transportation.

Housing & Check-In Policy:
No early move-ins are allowed. Students should be prepared to book a hotel of their choosing or request a hotel room from our partner hotel.

Check-In Day Hours | 10AM – 5PM
Students unable to check-in with the G1Y team prior to 5PM on May 7, should arrange a one night hotel stay or request a room from our partner hotel. Students must then report to orientation the following day. Hotel stay is at the student’s expense.
Hotel Information
The program partner hotel is the Courtyard Miami at Dolphin Mall located at 11275 NW 12th St, Doral, FL 33172. The cost for a room is $215 per night and the student is responsible for this amount. This option is ideal for students under 18 who are arriving before the move in date or are unable to check in during the established move in times. To reserve a room, please click this link.
Another convenient hotel option is the Miami International Airport Hotel located inside the airport in Concourse E (2nd Floor). To make a booking, go to https://www.miahotel.com/
Do note that this hotel option requires guests to be at least 18 years old to book a room and check-in. This is not a program partner hotel, but it is an affordable and convenient option.
