Florida International University and American Collegiate Live FAQs

Depending on your study program and number of credits you earn toward your bachelor’s degree, American Collegiate Live costs between $5,000 and $12,000 for Summer 2020 enrollment or between $5,000 and $14,000 for Fall 2020.

Most courses delivered through American Collegiate Live are three or four credits, and you may take a maximum of seventeen credits per semester. Credits recognized by Florida International University may vary based on your enrollment track and English language proficiency, and are subject to change. Please speak with your enrollment counselor for more details.

Professors teach at a studio on the University of Massachusetts Boston campus, which is broadcast live to your device. Using your laptop, headphones, and other supplemental materials (e.g., smartsheets), you will participate in class just as if your professor were standing in front of you.

Most American Collegiate Live students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Your specific study track and credits will be based on your Florida International University acceptance and your English language proficiency.

To set you up for success, counselors will offer tips on getting set up for class, best practices for studying, advice on interacting with your professors and classmates, and other introductory activities. You will receive guidance every step of the way.

You will take classes taught by faculty and instructors at the University of Massachusetts Boston. In addition to being experts in their course subjects, all instructors are experienced in teaching remotely with the Live-to-Device technology.
